About Philip Hall

Philip Hall, Ripon's independent department store specialises in ladies and men's clothing, fashion accessories, lingerie, and gifts, and carries an extensive range of products for the home. Mr. Philip Hall, the store's founding father, was well known and respected in the locality, and reputed to be from one of the oldest retailing families in the country with a store established in Thirsk as long ago as 1580.

The Ripon store was sold in 2005 but is still owned and run as an independent family business dedicated to serving the specific needs of its customers.

We are located just off the Market Place on the historic street of Fishergate.

We have recently added a new menswear store as well as a Home store that both situated adjacent to the main store.

Philip Hall's name and reputation for quality, service and value is alive and well in Ripon.
